Can I register for the 2008 Horn Symposium as a member before joining IHS?

Yes. As long as you are a member of the IHS before you check-in, you may register as a member of the IHS and get the cheaper member rates. Proof of current membership status will be required at check-in.

What are the addresses of the Lamont School of Music and the Four Points Hotel?

The Lamont School of Music is located at 2344 East Iliff Avenue, Denver CO 80208 on the south side of the University of Denver campus. Four Points by Sheraton Denver Southeast is located at 6363 East Hampden Avenue, Dener CO 80222, approximately 4 miles southeast of the University.

Where can I get the best travel deals for IHS 2008?

The official travel agent for IHS 2008 is Rick Swain with Carefree Getaway Travel. Rick works closely with many domestic and international airlines and may be able to offer you a reduced airline ticket price.

How can I pay for my registration?

At this time, options available for payment are: send a personal check or money order made payable to the University of Denver(information available on printable registration form). We are working on making online payment available.

Will there be playing opportunities for participants at IHS 2008?

Yes! We will offer participant ensembles for several different ability levels as well as a mass-horn choir performance. We also hope to offer after-hours informal ensemble sessions, so bring your Horns!

What is the best way to get from the Airport to the University of Denver campus?

The Lamont School of music is located 31 miles from the Airport, 40 minutes. The Super Shuttle runs between the Airport and many destinations in the Denver area. Rates to central locations are $19 one-way, or $34 round-trip, per person. Super shuttle is recommended for those travelling alone. Taxicab rates are approximately $50 one-way, but would be less expensive if you can share with other people. Regional Transportation District (RTD) public transit buses are available from the airport to select destinations in the Denver Metro area.
